On January 1, 2025, Darlene Reid will assume the role of Chair of the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton. She most recently served as the Chair-Elect in 2024.
Darlene has worked in real estate for over 18 years as an Associate, Associate Broker and Broker. She has been in the top 5% on the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton MLS® Sales since 2011, with years of experience managing office operations and acting as a mentor and resource. She has served on the Association’s Member Services and Marketing Committees, has Chaired the Arbitration and Professional Standards Committee and Government and Political Committee, and recently completed her second consecutive year as Chair-Elect for the Board of Directors.
She has an extensive background as an Executive Assistant, including in the Mayor’s Office in Strathcona County and for Alberta’s Privacy Commissioner. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in board governance. Having served in managerial and mentorship roles, Darlene is well-versed in the rules and regulations that govern the industry and the information technology that members rely on.
In her local community, Darlene recently served as the President of the Terwillegar Community League. She also volunteers for countless community events and fundraising activities for sports teams and schools.
Along with her fellow board members for 2025, which include Chair-Elect Troy Paquette, Directors Art Kominek, Chris Hedstrom, Danelle Bolinski, Gary Zimmel, Janice Kosak, Sharon Gregresh and Steven Reid, Darlene is looking forward to representing all members of the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton in the coming year.
