The Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton. The CEO role is a critical leadership position within the organization, and the decision to find the right candidate needs to be a thorough one. It took many months of deliberations, as the Board of Directors and Selection Committees exercised an
abundance of due diligence.
The Board of Directors has selected Darla Lindbjerg as the new President and CEO of the REALTORS® Association of Edmonton. Darla was born in Saskatchewan and has built her career and volunteer activities around roles that strengthen communities
across the province.
Darla is passionate about business and its role in society. In her most recent role, she was the President and CEO of the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce. Darla was the first female CEO for the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce in 115 years and during her tenure, increased the organization’s membership by 5.4% and revenues by 27%. She understands the landscape of membership-based organizations and has over 14 years of executive leadership experience in the private, public, non- profit and charitable sectors.
Darla possesses a master’s in business administration, is a Chartered Director, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree (finance major) and is accredited with a Public Relations designation. Above all, Darla has worked as a licensed REALTOR® in Saskatchewan, bringing firsthand experience in the industry to this new role. Darla will commence her position starting February 1, 2023. She will begin the move
from Saskatoon to Edmonton with her family shortly after.
